ABOUT US  AND WHAT WE DO

Currently, Big Hill Haven is available to provide assistance for those women and children living with domestic violence. We’re here to help women of every age, race, culture, religion and income level. We understand what you’re going through and we want you to know you're NOT ALONE. We’ll help you take any steps necessary towards rebuilding your life and creating a better future for you and your family.

As we continue to grow with the love and support of our amazing community, the Big Hill Haven Women's Shelter is ultimately working towards the goal of providing secure, protective housing, basic essentials, short & long term support programs, legal guidance resources, various types of training and so much more for every woman and child who needs our help.

  • A safe place for women with or without children to stay when leaving domestic violence

  • 24-hour confidential Crisis Line

  • Outreach support for women and children living with or leaving, domestic violence.

  • Advocacy, referrals and systems navigation including trauma informed individualized support for women and children

  • Education, leadership and training on issues related to violence and abuse and against women and children.

LONG TERM GOALS

The Big Hill Haven Women's Shelter relies on a committed, women-led board of directors to help ensure the shelter continues to provide the best possible programs and services, while steering growth to meet future needs.

Board members are involved in such areas as financial decision-making, strategic planning, policy setting and fund-raising. It’s rewarding work that makes a difference in the lives of women and children.
